About Dylan

This is a remake inspired from an interstellar still. I set this up with the outside exposure as fill, one Amaran 200X cob light through diffusion and a flashlight bounced as a kicker for my left cheek. Unfortunately, the autofocus failed me. Nevertheless I'm proud of what I was able to create by myself in a garage in an hour.

INTERSTELLAR remake

Lighting small spaces is quite a challenge. The slightest change in light position can completely alter the feeling of the picture. Attention to detail is everything. I wish I had a tube light for this shot! Using a COB light was overkill and made controlling the spill difficult.

To be honest, I overcomplicated this one. I have never tried so hard on a single shot. I kept rotating between getting a good frame and getting the lighting on point. I definitely learned a lot. If I were to do it again, I would set up rough lights first, find the frame, and then refine the lighting.
